Preschool/VPK

Preschool and Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) Center -
Serving the Mandarin Community of Jacksonville, FL and Surrounding Areas

Children Four and Five Years of Age
Most children this age begin to develop greater independence, self-control, and creativity. They are content to play with their toys for longer periods of time, are eager to try new things, and when they get frustrated, are better able to express their emotions. During this time, children’s ability to think and learn goes beyond the basics of the world around them. They start thinking about and understanding things they can’t see or touch. Language development tends to explode during this year.

Our core focus for preschoolers is to develop the interest in STEAM education:

Once children learn the basics of these subjects, it will help for an easier transition to elementary school. Our mission is to help children understand the importance of education in their life at an early age.

Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK)

Children who participate in high-quality early childhood education programs develop better language skills, score higher in school-readiness tests and have better social skills. Crest Peak Learning Center has a free Voluntary Prekindergarten program offered by the state of Florida for all children four years and older on or before September 1st. Our teachers are trained and certified to prepare your child for their kindergarten year, especially in the areas of pre-reading, pre-math and social skills.
