Lead Toddler Teacher


Qualifications:

  • Ability to relate positively with toddlers (ages 1-2 yrs old) in a childcare environment.
  • Must have proven track record of at least 4 years minimum lead teaching experience with a quality preschool, or daycare center. Preferably toddlers lead teaching experience.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
  • Must have DCF 45 hours training.
  • Must have Staff Credential and/or Child Development Associate (CDA).

Responsibilities:

  • Organize activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice, and program philosophy.
  • Provide input for bi-annual assessment of children’s development.
  • Maintain daily open communication with parents.
  • Keep incident reports, maintain confidentiality, and report any suspected abuse to management.
  • Arrange classroom environment in accordance to program goals and philosophy while maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Assists in other capacities as determined by the Director.
  • Attend in-service and staff meetings.
  • Keep all appropriate records such as attendance and classwork.
  • Meet all applicable licensing rules and regulations.

Upon Employment:

  • Must meet all local, state or national basic requirements.
  • Must complete yearly minimum 10 hours of Continuing Education Units (CEUs)/In-Service hours.
  • Must complete First Aid and CPR training, as required.
  • Must have mandated fingerprinting and/or Level II background screening complete.

Lead VPK Teacher


Qualifications:

  • Ability to relate positively with children in a childcare environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a pre-kindergarten class in a daycare environment.
  • Assesses each child’s developmental needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Maintain daily open communication with parents including facilitating required parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations.
  • Submit lesson plans to the Director and implement the approved plans and daily classroom schedule using Crest Peak Learning Center's curriculum outlines and materials.
  • Arrange classroom environment in accordance to program goals while maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Assists in other capacities as determined by the Director.
  • Attend in-service and staff meetings.
  • Keep all appropriate records such as attendance and classwork.
  • Meet all applicable licensing rules and regulations.

Assistant/Floater Teacher

Qualifications:

  • Previous teaching or assistant teaching position with a public or private school system, a quality preschool, or childcare center is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Floater teacher for infant to school age classrooms to relieve lead teachers upon their lunches and breaks.
  • Assist lead teacher in activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice, and program philosophy.
  • Maintain daily open communication with lead teacher and parents.
  • Assist lead teacher in arranging a classroom environment in accordance to program goals and philosophy.
  • Supervise all activities to ensure safety at all times.

Camp Counselor

  • Previous childcare experience with a quality preschool, or daycare center is preferred, but not necessary.

  • Crest Peak will assist in completion of DCF 45 hours training.

  • Arrange classroom environment in accordance to program goals and philosophy while maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Assists in other capacities as determined by the Director.
